BLACKPINK’s Rosé just made major waves in the K-pop charts universe—and she brought Bruno Mars along for the ride. Their collab “APT.” has officially surpassed BTS’ mega-hit “Dynamite” to become the #1 biggest global chart hit of the 2020s by a K-pop act, according to Talk of the Charts. With two major K-pop names involved, this chart achievement has made both Number Ones and BLINKs (The Rosé and BLACKPINK fandoms) and ARMYs (The BTS fandom) clash.

On May 18, 2025, the chart update dropped like a bomb: BTS’ “Dynamite,” which had ruled the decade’s global charts since its 2020 release, was officially knocked off its throne by Rosé and Bruno Mars’ “APT.” Naturally, social media exploded. The post garnered over 408,000 views in hours, and X (formerly Twitter) became a warzone. BLACKPINK's Rosé and Bruno Mars dethrone BTS, and fan wars erupt online

The debates quickly turned savage. From accusations of payola to dragging entire careers, ARMYs and BLINKs/Number Ones went full keyboard warrior mode. Some mocked Rosé’s reliance on Bruno, while others roasted BTS’ track for allegedly using streaming bots and payola. While none of this has been confirmed, one things for sure: This chart update provoked a massive fan war online.
